CHAPTER 7 OF 15
Built to spread
A market is more useful the more people are watching it, and FIRM is built with that in mind. None of the mechanics below hand out money from nowhere. Every reward is funded and collateralized before it is ever offered.
Free forecasts
You do not need a wallet, an account funded with demo credit, or any money at all to register an opinion on FIRM. A free forecast lets anyone post a YES or NO call and a confidence level on a public question. FIRM keeps every earlier version of your forecast rather than overwriting it, so your track record, including the calls you got wrong, stays visible rather than quietly edited away.
Share receipts
Once a question resolves, a free forecast turns into a permanent, linkable receipt showing what you called, how confident you said you were, and how it actually turned out, scored against the real outcome. It is a public track record you can point to, not a private guess that disappears.
Challenge links
Anyone can turn their forecast into a direct challenge: a link that dares a specific friend, or whoever gets there first, to take the other side of the same call. It turns an argument that would otherwise happen in a group chat and go nowhere into two people with an actual, tracked position on record.
Position Waterfalls
A Position Waterfall is a sponsor-funded pool of positions, first come, first served. A company or sponsor funds a fixed pool, say $5,000, with a fixed claim amount, say $10 per person, up to a cap, say 500 claims, often gated behind a disclosed action like sharing the market. Each claim buys real shares at whatever the live price is the moment it is claimed, so the dollar amount is fixed but the number of shares you get depends on where the price is when you show up. Unused pool money returns to the sponsor once the waterfall expires.
Referrals and scouting rewards
When a market allows it, referring a real customer to the company behind the market can earn you a real position, funded by the company and tied to a verified signup, not a self-reported claim. FIRM also credits scouting: being the first person to submit a valid, checkable source for a market claim, kept separate from the credit you get for helping the market spread afterward.
The rule underneath all of it
None of these mechanics mint value from nothing. A Position Waterfall's pool is escrowed before the first claim. A referral reward is funded before it is paid. A free forecast has no payout at all, by design, it is a track record, not a bet. Growth on FIRM moves attention and, where money is involved, moves already-funded positions. It never creates a reward that isn't backed by real collateral first.
